Overnight vanilla cinnamon oats

A beautiful and easy prep-ahead brunch dish served in fashionable mason jars. Pop jars filled with creamy vanilla cinnamon oats in the fridge overnight and simply top with berries and nuts before serving.

A beautiful and easy prep-ahead brunch dish served in fashionable mason jars. Pop jars filled with creamy vanilla cinnamon oats in the fridge overnight and simply top with berries and nuts before serving

Serves: 4

Difficulty: Easy

Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients:

250ml (1 cup) rolled oats

300ml full-cream milk (or use almond or rice milk)

165ml full-fat plain yoghurt

15ml (1 tbsp) honey or maple syrup (more to taste)

2.5ml (½ tsp) vanilla extract

2.5ml (½ tsp) ground cinnamon

Pinch of salt

Fresh berries and nuts, to serve

Method:

1) Whisk together all ingredients in a bowl except the berries and nuts and taste for sweetness.

2) Spoon into 4 x 250ml jars with tight-fitting lids. Screw the lids on the jars and refrigerate overnight.

3) Remove from the fridge, top the oats with berries and nuts and serve.
