That Eskom CEO Andre De Ruyter’s life is under threat and he has to wear a bulletproof vest should worry us. This in addition to the many who have paid the ultimate price, such as Gauteng health department whistle-blower Babita Deokaran, whose child is now motherless because she acted gallantly on our behalf. No-one deserves to be a victim for our benefit. While I believe De Ruyter is not fit to run an engineering cum economic behemoth, he deserves our protection, especially as CEO of an organisation we depend on for our livelihood and an ordinary citizen deserving of life...
