WATCH | DJ Tira clears the air on 'Cassper beef'
DJ Tira has come out to set the record straight on reports that he is angry with Cassper Nyovest for apparently getting sponsorship from Durban Tourism for his #FillUpMosesMabhidaStadium show.
While Tira is still fuming that his events are allegedly not given the same kind of treatment as Cassper's, he took to the stage at a Family Tree press briefing to explain that he had no hard feelings towards Cass.
"I don't have a problem with Fill Up Moses Mabhida (Stadium). I don't have a problem with Cassper. I support events that happen in Durban."
Tira went on to claim that he was dealing with his "own issue" where his events attracted loads of people but he was still "looking and looking" for funding.
He said that he was going to continue his fight but didn't want to take his issues to the media.
"I don't wanna fight in the media like it has happened... I just hope ukuthi we can all move forward, help each other, make sure ukuthi Fill Up is a success and all other events that are happening in Durban," Tira added.
Cassper made headlines earlier this month when it was claimed that the Federation for Radical Economic Transformation expressed their anger at reports that Cassper was getting financial support from the eThekwini Municipality. This despite the municipality shutting down the reports.
Taking to social media Cassper slammed the story.
In the 3 years that we have successfully hosted the #FillUp concert I have never been on a cover of any news paper but now that there’s a rumored possibility of it failing cos of competition it’s a cover story. The narrative of our media is clearly negative but we will strive. ✊🏿 pic.twitter.com/PHValiIJye
