Seasoned actresses Sanah Mchunu and Lerato Mvelase are set to star in Mzansi Magic's new show Icala.

The show, which is written by Chris Q Radebe and produced by Match Point, is set to air Monday October 9 at 8pm.,Viewers will also see the familiar faces of Kennedy Stab and Velile Makhoba, and meet new talent Athie Cwele.

“Our Mzansi Magic Mondays are already bursting with local gems. But with Icala, expect an overload of emotions. A soul-stirring story, blended with some laughs, it's real, it's raw, and trust us, you don't want to miss this rollercoaster,” says Shirley Adonisi, director of local entertainment channels at M-Net.

Not so long ago Mzansi Magic announced a new show My Brother’s Keeper which will premiere on DStv Channel 161 on October 23 at 7.30pm.

The multitalented and star-studded cast of My Brother’s Keeper includes Wiseman Mncube, Zola Nombona, S’dumo Mtshali, Lindani Nkosi, Nelisa Mchunu and Rosemary Zimu. 

“We have always offered our viewers the best in local entertainment in a variety of genres, and with the upcoming premiere of My Brother’s Keeper, we’re pleased to bring another well-written and expertly produced series to our DStv Compact viewers,” says Adonisi. “Telenovelas are a much-loved genre, and we look forward to growing our impressive and versatile content slate with a show that is sure to keep us all intrigued and entertained,” she says.

The show tells the story of Nqubeko, played by Wiseman, the headstrong and over-ambitious son of a mistress who is tired of being sidelined by his father. Nqubeko decides to break the rules of ‘ukungena’ by going after his brother’s widow Fakazile (played by Zola Nombona).
