Zille ‘delighted’with ‘spectacular’ Western Cape results

The Western Cape results have been “truly spectacular”‚ former Democratic Alliance (DA) leader Helen Zille said at the Election Commission of SA (IEC) results centre on Thursday. “I’m delighted with them‚ and it looks as if there’s more good news coming‚” she said in an interview. The party’s biggest victory in the Western Cape‚ where Zille has been premier‚ was “to win ANC municipalities” – which it had done.“We’ve taken Agulhas‚ it looks as if we’ll take Beaufort-West‚ we’ve got Oudtshoorn. It looks as if we’ll get Cederberg and Matzikama.
