Canadian pop rock band Nickelback have been named as the biggest musical turnoff, according to a survey.

NME reports that the music-based dating site Tastebuds.fm, has carried out the research to find out what their users biggest musical turnoffs were and the Canadian arena rockers came out on top, picking up over 13% of all votes cast.

Users were asked to nominate up to 12 acts which they regarded as their biggest musical turnoffs.

Justin Bieber was second, Lady Gaga third, Ke$ha fourth and Coldplay in fifth place. U2, Creed, Katy Perry, Lil Wayne and Britney Spears featured lower down the Top 10.

The site says users of Tastebuds.fm seem to have it in for Coldplay, having previously named their fans as the least likely to have sex on a first date.

2. Justin Bieber
3. Lady Gaga
4. Ke$ha
