Following a suspension in March by Ukhozi FM and the SABC for fraud and corruption allegations, it has been reported that radio personality Mandla 'Njinji' Magwaza is back on air.

Daily Sun reports that all charges against Mandla – who was accused of promoting his friend’s projects on his show -  have been cleared by the public broadcaster.

It is understood that Mandla took over the Vulisekele slot, an entertainment show which airs from 10pm to 2pm, instead of returning to his urban music chart show Umnyakazo Top 20.

“Although Mandla has been cleared, the SABC has decided to give him a quieter slot so he won’t be able to misuse airtime for purposes not attached to SABC work,” a source told the local publication.

In addition, while SABC spokesperson Kaizer Kganyago could not divulge any details concerning his return, he has confirmed to the paper that Mandla’s suspension has been lifted, after clearing him from his charges.
