After Tamar Braxton confirmed on Sunday that she won't be returning to the The Real, she took to Instagram where she claimed that she had been "stabbed" in the back by someone she trusted.

Since then, speculations have been swirling around about the alleged suspect who get her fired. While collective eyeballs swung in the direction of her co-hosts, particularly Adrienne Bailon, with whom she’s allegedly been beefing, The Jasmine Brand has recently reported that it’s actually the executive producer of the show, Rachel Miskowiec, who got the singer axed from the talk show.

Speaking to The Jasmine Brand, a source revealed that Tamar's co-hosts "had no idea that Tamar would be terminated" and are "devastated" that she won't be returning for a third season.

"There wasn’t a meeting called. There weren’t even warning signs and they had nothing to do with her firing,” the insider claimed. "They didn’t even know that a statement was being put out … The hosts really get along behind-the-scenes and they’re [not happy] that they were left in the dark about this."

Regarding why Tamar decided to cut social media ties with her fellow co-stars on social media, the insider explained: "because she probably doesn’t want to see them posting about the show that just axed her, unfairly."

The Real also issued a statement regarding Tamar leaving the show shortly after the news broke, which was in contrast to Tamar’s claims that someone shoved a knife in her back. The talk show claimed that her departure was a mutual decision and noted that the singer was leaving the show to work on her music.

"The Real and Tamar Braxton have mutually decided that Tamar will not be continuing with the show for its upcoming third season," the statement read. "She will be leaving in order to concentrate on her solo career. Everyone associated with The Real appreciates Tamar’s efforts and the contributions she has made to the show’s success, and we wish her all the best for the future."
