Katlego Danke has recently spoken out against the old adage that 'sex sells,' claiming that when she highlights important issues, not many people care.

Questioning the moral framework of our society, the actress shared her frustration with people turning a deaf ear to important issues, such as rape, but are quick to easily show interest when it comes to posting nude imagery online.

Taking to Twitter, she explained: "Funny how if I had to post a half naked pic of myself it would be the talk of the town but if I post about (important) issues- rape etc #dololo [no response]."

It's no secret that the former Generations star is passionate about touching the lives of other, and raising public awareness about issues that plague the society.

In 2011, she was announced as a brand ambassador for the Fezile Dabi HIV-Aids Benefit Campaign.

Talking about the initiative, she was quoted by SowetanLIVE as saying: "I strongly believe that ignorance is our biggest enemy when it comes to fighting the scourge of HIV-Aids."

"So I am adopting this charity with the greatest concern for all society."
