Having been an accounting nerd in another life, Nomzamo explained that she can hardly get rid of her business streak.

"Those who know my journey know that it started off as an accounting student. So the business side of me will always be there," she said.

"I'm just grateful to be able to be in this space where I'm able to understand the business side of film-making, so that my passion and my reason can co-exist in this little mind of mine."

Best known for her role in Mzansi Magic’s drama-packed telenovela Isibaya, Nomzamo's acting career took to new and greater heights when she starred in her first feature film, a romantic comedy called Tell me Sweet Something directed by Akin Omotoso - which  also earned her an African Movie Academy Awards nod this year. However, it was her starring role in Umlilo that cemented her star on South Africa's showbiz sidewalk.
