Cassper Nyovest gets backlash for 'Kanye West' comparison during Sway interview

During his recent interview on popular US hip-hop radio show Sway In The Morning, Cassper claimed that local fans call him the "Kanye West of South Africa'' - however, by the looks of it, not everyone seems to agree.

Cassper became the first South African rapper to perform and be interviewed on Sway on Wednesday, however that feat has seemingly been overshadowed by the comments he made on the show.

Taking to Twitter, many people criticised the local rapper for referring to America as "our home," in addition to claiming that South Africans call him the Kanye West of the country.

Subsequently, Cassper has been trending on the social media platform as users share their thoughts.
