Zahara has enlisted the services of a popular KwaZulu-Natal herbalist Muzi Zulu to boost the singing career of her three sisters.

The Eastern Cape-born artist was spotted at Zulu's home in Pinetown, near Durban, accompanied by her three sisters - Lumka, Bandezwa and Nomonde - a day after the SAMA awards were held in Durban this month.

Zahara confirmed to Sowetan that they approached Zulu to manage her sisters' gospel album Ebeneza , o n which she features.

The album will be launched in Durban in August.

Zulu also owns Maz Entertaiinent Company which manages artists and musicians.

Zulu also confirmed the deal with Zahara and her sisters.

"They were here to ask my company to manage their new album and I agreed," Zulu told Sowetan yesterday.

Nomonde welcomed the news of the deal, adding that they were looking forward to working with Zulu. "We are not working under any music company, that is why we wanted Zulu to manage our album and distribute our music," Nomonde said.

Zahara remains one of South Africa's best selling musicians. Her inspirational story of a guitar-strumming young woman from Phumulani village near East London, who was discovered by music executive TK Nciza at a lounge in the city, is heart-warming.

Zahara has won an arm-load of trophies from the Samas to the Metro FM Music Awards.

Now her sisters are on a mission to make the strides in the music industry.
