'South Africa has become a retirement plan for American singers,' says Ntsiki Mazwai

In one of her recent Twitter rants, outspoken activist Ntsiki Mazwai claims that South Africans idolise Americans, after asserting that "South Africa has become a retirement plan for American singers."

The musician suggested that some South Africans have an inferiority complex when it comes to music, often gushing over America while staying faintly aloof from their own.

"Our self hate levels are on fleek and Cassper was right...you guys do believe Americans are your God. Own up to it!!! look at yourselves," she tweeted, before pointing out that she does not have "self hate issues" and that she fully supports South African music.

Ntsiki that went on to question whether SA artists get booked  for national tours in America, in which she responded to herself,  saying: "Nope, South Africans are hustling."

This comes in the wake of Tevin Campbell's return to South Africa, for a performance tour of Johannesburg and Cape Town this weekend.
