TV personality Lerato Kganyago couldn't hold her tears back when Letoya Makhene serenaded her in a surprise performance for her birthday at the Musina Annual Show over the past weekend.

Lerato, whose birthday is on 22 July, was seemingly caught unaware when Letoya waltzed boldly onto the stage while she was playing her set at the music festival in Limpopo on Saturday.

  •

In a video shared by Muvhango actor Lesley Musina on Instagram, Letoya is seen singing Whitney Houston's heart-rending hit track I Will Always Love You during an impromptu performance for Lerato in celebration of her birthday.

  •

While she couldn't help but shed tears at first, Lerato, who appeared to have been enjoying the performance, started singing along.

Alongside the clip, Lesley revealed that Letoya was asked on the spot to give the performance, to which she obviously agreed to, without any hesitation.

"@letoyamakhene arrived in Musina and I asked her to get on stage and surprise @leratokganyago during her set, literally threw her in the deep end," he wrote.

"She was like cool and ooh boy did she do a Chad Le clos Gold medal performance at the Olympics. It was almost as if @letoyamakhene had been rehearsing for this moment for a week," he added.
