Toya Delazy penned an extremely heartfelt letter to her late mother on the eight-year anniversary of her passing.

Accompanied by a new song titled, 'Blue To Heavens Doors,' the note - shared on Facebook - details the singer's thoughts and feelings about the passing of her mother.

"Mom, I will never know what happened this horrible night. All I know is that I was numb with fright to news that you have left me. My life has never been the same," she started by saying

"I miss you so much. No matter how vast the fame, I'm often still in pain."

Toya then continued to reveal that, despite being in the dark about the events leading up to her mother's passing eight years ago, she will ensure that her death was not in vain.

"Blood is thicker than water they say but since you left, blood drew from my veins and the waters have carried me over the seas, over the years kept me hydrated, kept me sane.

"I will never know what really happened 8 years ago, but I won't let it be in vain. I will keep going on and I shall bring honour and power to your name," she revealed.

She went on to ask her mother to guide her as she navigates through this life, adding that she hopes to give her "grandchildren that will laugh and play.

Without divulging the cause of her mother's passing, Toya admitted that she often hopes people who ever hurt her mom "suffer the same." Furthermore, she pointed out that she wants to stop being "in pieces'' on the anniversary of her mom's death, but instead, take the time and opportunity to celebrate her life.

"Every year I'm in pieces on this dark dark day. So I want to turn it around I will sing like a hark, like it's my last today, and it's all for you princess and for my spirit that misses you like oxygen in space. Like a tongue would to taste , like a bin would to waste.

"Miss you so much I keep moving from place to place , becoming someone, wish you could have lived to see me soar. Walked me to my throne and watched me roar, but it is what it is, and I love you, slipping you this note under heavens doors," she wrote.

To accompany this heartfelt note, Toya dropped a new single, Blue To Heavens Door, as part of her tribute to her mother.
