Wololo hitmaker Babes Wodumo found herself in the midst of a social media frenzy on Friday for apparently not knowing Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan.
Babes' camp hit back at the criticism saying that "prominent people are always painted with the wrong brush and that they are expected to know everyone".
Even though Babes may not know who the finance minister is, her fans have fiercely defended her from any sort of backlash.
Among the scores of fans who rallied behind Babes is Somizi, who in true Somgaga fashion, has some tips for the songstress when she meets the minister.
"You should walk in Pravin's court case like this. Like do you know who I am lol," Somizi captioned the video.
In a separate post Somizi gushed over Babes saying that Lebo Mathosa is "smiling".
"I never thought I'd live to see the day I say that Lebo Mathosa is smiling and passing the baton. This child is born for this," he said.
