No one should impose their traditional ways of grieving on me, Letshego Zulu

Gugu Zulu's widow, Letshego has come out strongly against backlash, she's received for conducting interviews, which has been perceived as "inappropriate".

Letshego who conducted her first television interview with Anele Mdoda on Real Talk earlier this week raised eyebrows among some social media users, who believe that Letshego "should be mourning not doing PR."

While some people threw negative comments at her, others applauded Letshego's strength and courage to speak out in celebration of her husband.

Speaking exclusively to TMG Entertainment, Letshego said that she did not find it necessary to respond to a small faction of people.

"I have decided that I don't find it necessary to respond to 0.01% of people who have a problem with my way of grieving".

Letshego went on to add that she will not be dictated to, about how to mourn.

"I am celebrating my husband's life and I believe no one should dictate nor impose their traditional ways of grieving on me."

Letshego says that her family's love and support is what matters most to her. "I have my family's support and love and that's what matters most."

It's been almost two months since racing car driver Gugu Zulu died while attempting to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, as part of a Trek4Mandela expedition to raise funds for sanitary pads, for impoverished school girls.

Letshego was with her husband on the expedition and was at his side till the end. Speaking at Gugu's memorial Letshego brought an auditorium full of people to tears when she paid tribute to her husband, promising to celebrate his life and continue his legacy.
