Chaos at Brangelina home

As news of their split continues to send shockwaves around the world, the 'love is dead' rhetoric shows no signs of calming down, 'sources' are popping up faster than men with beards.

It's no secret that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's relationship has been dominated by scrutiny. From the moment they admitted that they were in a relationship, to their photoshoot for a glossy mag saying they were adopting, Brangelina became a controversial brand.

Of course, them denying that they were involved while Brad was with ex-wife Jennifer Aniston, only for Ange to later admit that they fell in love while filming Mr. and Mrs. Smith, turned into that iconic 'that was uncool' response from Jen and divided the teams even more.

Because it came down to this: you were either Team Ange or Team Jen.

As the couple extended their brood to six children, the reports of chaos inside their unique family continued to become fodder for tabloids.

Angelina once said that she had bought her oldest son, Maddox, daggers, making the admission to W magazine. "My mom took me to buy my first daggers when I was 11 or 12, and I've already bought Maddox some."

That didn't sit well with a lot of people, who condemned her parenting style.

Although the family make regular visits to war zones and refugee camps as part of Angie's work for the UN, they previously had the help of an army of nannies and tutors.

But reports now indicate that Ange entrusted her estranged brother, James Haven, with looking after the kids, and reduced the nannies to just two.

Predictably, sources have come forward saying that the result was chaos.

With Ange and Brad often on location filming for their latest flick, stability was "something that was missing".

The couple have not tried to hide the fact that it is hard, yet rewarding, handling the big family and being in the public eye.

"That's morning time in our house. It's chaos from morning until the lights go out, and sometimes after that," said Brad during an interview.

After more than a decade together, Angelina filed for divorce on 15 September, doing what most Hollywood stars do, citing "irreconcilable differences". Brad issued his own statement, asking for privacy.

And clearly it has been a private matter. His bestie, George Clooney, wasn't even aware of the split. Caught on live TV in a CNN interview, George had absolutely no idea that his pals were divorcing.

So, what of the kids? Well, Ange has filed for full custody of them, which according to experts isn't unusual. With their busy work schedule, it may mean that Brad could see his children even more.

Is love dead? Well, TMZ, the respected site that broke the story, claims that the couple are still on good terms.

It's really just a matter of how long that lasts.
