It is not acceptable for any person to use his position to make others feel inferior by bypassing procedural guidelines to suit his narrow interest, "Minister's daughter not qualified for job" (April 3).

Most people are thwarted in our community when looking for jobs, yet some get jobs without even qualifying for the positions.

Irregular employment policy implementation defeats the object of Batho Pele principles .

The government must take issues of nepotism very seriously, because people are being left outside of the workforce on the basis of not having anyone they are related to in the top offices of the government.

What is the reason for advertising posts if, within the department, it is already common knowledge that the post is going to be occupied by a certain person?

It is high time the government tightened its policy in terms of irregularities in relation to nepotism and favouritism.
