My face must be exposed as it shows my smile

Which is the window to my soul

I pass love through it, hope through it

But protect myself, as I am not yet whole

In the arms of my friends, I keep my soul warm

In the hope of a nation, I keep my dreams alive

In the warmth of a strangers smile

I find strength to push my boundaries, and survive

Winter is a deceiving fascade

You think it is cold, ruthless and hard

But you are reminded that your friends are that comforting place

To expose your smile, yet warm your face
