How many more children should be killed before we do something? What did Mogamat Taariq Jacobs do to deserve such a death ("Killer Cape Town mom gets 20 years", November 13)?

The 17-year-old who raped the Grade 6 pupil was simply expelled ("Pupils expelled for raping boy of 11", November 14). Is this what our freedom fighters fought for?

I strongly believe that the government should impose more severe consequences on people who commit crimes.
