It is evident SAA is in a serious and escalating financial crisis ("SAA turbulence alert", February 14).

Airlines across the globe have hit economic turbulence as rising fuel costs and weaker demands put pressure on profit margins. The airline industry is suffering.

A crisis point is approaching at SAA, and it will have to take drastic actions to remain airborne. A bloated SAA will have to be drastically overhauled.
