It is a pity the workers in the Department of Justice are not united ("Justice grinds to a halt", yesterday).

When prosecutors embarked on a strike, magistrates threatened to issue them with contempt of court orders.

When interpreters went on strike, the same threats were made by some of the folk who are now on strike.

The justice department is one of the biggest abusers of workers' rights within government.

Those who will be employed as acting magistrates will also be abused by the justice department.

As long as these justice department employees do not unite and tackle all the abuses and grievances collectively and once and for all, there will always be these staggered industrial actions that comprise a part of each breach.
