The Boks will suffer the same defeat as the Proteas. One would think that they would pick players who have proven that not only can they win matches but that they should be picked to represent their Country.
What happened to picking the best? Is John Smit the best? If his club can bench him in place of Bismarck Du Plessis who is far more superior in the hooker position, why is he still on our Bok team? Yes, he is a fine leader but I would rather see him step away from the game on a high note and with dignity and make room for those young guys (Not that he is old but his time has come and gone).
What more does Peter Grant have to do to prove that he is indeed the number 1 Flyhalf? Yes, he suffered a few injuries but he has shown that he is the best in the current South African game. Butch James came in and played for the worst SA team. He started once and was on the bench for most of the time. There is too much bias in our SA management. Bias does not win games. If a player sucks, he sucks end of story.
The team needs to picked according to what they have done this season and not several seasons ago. You pick your best team!
