This week on e.tv news Irvin Jim, the Numsa general secretary, slammed workers who did not strike as having "no discipline".
It is easy for him to say that as his income will not be affected by the "no work, no pay" policy. However it is his union that is undisciplined.
On Monday my fuel service station had two groups of protesters visit.
Contrary to the signed agreement between Numsa and the FRA and RMI, the protesters threatened my workers and me with violence, blocked the driveway, intimidated my clients, had no marshals, did not advise me of the picket and failed to keep the 10m distance rule - in fact, they broke every rule of peaceful protesting.
Perhaps Jim should examine the discipline of his own organisation before sounding off about others.
