Oliver Mtukudzi's son dies in car crash

Twenty two year old musician Sam Mtukudzi son of Oliver Mtukudzi died in Harare, Zimbabwe early this morning when his car veered off the road and crashed into a bridge. Also killed in the accident was Sam’s friend and sound engineer Owen Chimhare.

According to the official Oliver Mtukduzi website, http://www.tukumusik.com/, both were travelling from Harare to Norton where they lived.

Mtukudzi and his wife Daisy were in South Africa on private business on receiving the news of their son's death.

For most of last week Sam and Owen were in South Africa mixing Sam’s second album.
