No arrest yet in Sbu Sibiya shooting

Sapa | 13 July, 2011 10:40
ANC eThekwini regional secretary S'bu Sibiya

No-one has been arrested yet in connection with the murder of the ANC's eThekwini region leader Sbu Sibiya.

The investigation was continuing, said Brigadier Phindile Radebe.

Sibiya, 40, was shot dead in the driveway at his home on Monday night. He had just returned from his office.

Police were not sure how many people were involved in the shooting.

Radebe said the police had confidence in the political violence task team set up to investigate Sibiya's murder because it had succeeded in cracking high profile cases in the past.
