Day 7 of the murder trial started with a bang this morning. Intimate details of Dewani and Anni - his young bride who he allegedly murdered in 2010 - emerged within minutes.

Anni's cousin, Sneha Mashru was being cross examined by Dewani's counsel Francois van Zyl.

Yesterday Mashru testified that Anni was so unhappy in the relationship that barely a week after their wedding she wanted a divorce.

But Van Zyl said Dewani would deny this. Anni had gone to the doctor and indicated that she wanted to fall pregnant.

And she was happy while on safari in South Africa.

"She wrote SMSes to her inlaws - Mrs Dewani senior. She was having a great time. It could be because they were among the animals," said Van Zyl.

Mashru could not comment on the messages but insisted Anni was unhappy.

"Their sex life was bad," said Mashru.

"Shrien was having problems with having an erection."
