Bafana Bafana will play a match against another African team in Durban to try to help end the scourge of xenophobia in KwaZulu-Natal. Danny Jordaan, president of the South African Football Association, confirmed yesterday that they were in talks with the Royal Household Trust to stage the match soon. The trust oversees the affairs of King Goodwill Zwelithini, and falls under the office of the province's premier. It is believed the game is part of the trust's efforts to counter the negative publicity against King Goodwill. He has been criticisedafter giving a speech in which he told foreigners to "pack their bags and go".The date for the match has not been set.Jordaan said: "At the moment we are waiting for a [formal] proposal from the provincial government to finalise such plans. We should have the proposal in a week's time."Trust chairman Thulasizwe Buthelezi said: "All we are planning is to use soccer to promote understanding and harmony between South Africans and African nationals." ..
