Snowfalls bring winter to South Africa

Snow is forecast across various areas of South Africa today and tomorrow‚ with heavier falls of the white stuff anticipated in Lesotho. “There is a chance of quite extensive snow across the Eastern Cape and Lesotho‚ and a few flurries in the Western Cape and KwaZulu-Natal‚” according to snowreport.co.za.“Some heavier falls are possible in Lesotho‚ and in the Hogsback and Rhodes/Barkly East areas tomorrow.”The webcam at the Sutherland observatory‚ the Northern Cape town where today’s temperatures are given as a low of 2 degrees and a maximum of 5 degrees‚ showed a blanket of snow this morning.But with rainy conditions‚ the snow appears to be rapidly melting...
