DJ pleads not guilty to murder of girlfriend

Jozi FM DJ Donald “DJ Donald Duck” Sebolai has pleaded not guilty to killing his girlfriend. Sebolai's trial started in the South Gauteng High Court‚ sitting at the Palm Ridge Magistrate's Court southeast of Johannesburg‚ on Monday.He allegedly killed Flavia Rachel “Dolly” Tshabalala‚ 32‚ after the couple had a fight at his Soweto flat in June last year.She was allegedly found in the flat on a bed‚ half naked and in a pool of blood. She had been stabbed in her right thigh.The state alleges that Sebolai‚ 37‚ phoned his sister Kelebogile Lettie Selekane and acquaintance Nonhlanhla Mkhize and told them that he had killed Tshabalala.The DJ also faces charges of theft and defeating the ends of justice for allegedly stealing Tshabalala's car and disposing of some of her bloodied clothes. He also pleaded not guilty to these charges.The court heard that Sebolai would lead a defence of self-defence.Sebolai is out on bail of R10‚000...
