Mboweni to join Wits University

Tito Mboweni‚ ex-Minister of Labour and former Governor of the South African Reserve Bank‚ will join Wits University from August 1 as an Honorary Professor in the School of Economic and Business Sciences‚ the university announced. Mboweni already fulfills multiple roles in business and politics.He was recently appointed to the Board of the New Development Bank (BRICS Bank) as a Non-Executive Director.Mboweni is a member of the ANC’s National Executive Committee.He is an advisor to Goldman Sachs International.He is also the Non-Executive Chairman of the Boards of Nampak Limited‚ SacOil Holdings Ltd‚ Accelerate Property Fund and the African Center for Economic Transformation. He is a Non-Executive Director of Discovery Ltd‚ and a Non-Executive Director of PPC. And he is a Member of the Advisory Board of Total Oil Marketing’s Strategic Consultative Committee for Africa and the Middle East."I am delighted to be associated in such a meaningful way with Wits‚ its students and faculty.
