Judgment is expected to be delivered in the trial of former Jozi FM DJ Donald Sebolai, accused of murdering his girlfriend, Dolly Tshabalala.
Sebolai had arrived in court last week Tuesday, dressed in a suit, expecting to hear his fate but Judge Cassim Moosa postponed the proceedings.
Tshabalala's family, who had arrived in court dressed in white T-shirts with a picture of Tshabalala printed on them had left the courtroom disappointed, claiming they wanted closure.
Tshabalala was found dead in Sebolai's Soweto flat in June last year. She had bled to death after sustaining a stab wound to the pelvic area.
Sebolai, a father of three, was arrested after nine days on the run.
The former gospel show host has pleaded not guilty to the charge.
It is alleged that Tshabalala was injured as the pair struggled over a knife which she had used to stab him in the hands, accused him of cheating.
The couple had just returned home from a night of drinking when they apparently got into the heated argument which turned deadly.
During the trial the court heard about the couple's relationship, which allegedly also involved threesomes with Tshabalala's best friend.
Sebolai, who used to speak out against women and children abuse on his radio show, told the court that Tshabalala was a jealous lover.
He admitted to smacking her around a few times "to get her in line" but denied killing her.
