Veteran actor Sammy Moeti, who regaled multitudes of TV viewers with his fine sense of humour, passed away on Monday night after a long illness.

The news of the passing of the legendary Muvhango actor, who played Vho-Mushasha in the SABC2 soapie, was announced by the daily telenovela via a Facebook post on Tuesday.

“Good Morning viewers. Its with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr Sammy Moeti who used to play Vho-Mushasha,” Muvhango posted on Facebook.

“A man who brought us great entertainment and amusement. He passed on last night after a long illness. Our most sincere condolences go out to his family. May your soul rest in peace.”

Messages of condolences have been pouring in for the late actor. Funeral and memorial services arrangements are yet to be announced.
