No further details on Belfast prison fire

No further details have been released about a fire at the Belfast Correctional Centre in Mpumalanga on Saturday that claimed the lives of two inmates and left six others injured. According to Department of correctional services spokesperson Manelisi Wolela‚ preliminary investigations indicate that the fire was started in the early hours of the morning in a cell occupied by eight prisoners but was extinguished before it could spread to other cells.Two of the injured inmates suffered serious burns and are still in hospital while the others were treated and returned to the prison...
