Gautrain restores service on one track following accident

Gautrain services remained partially disrupted on Monday morning following an accident on Saturday in which a cement truck crashed on to the line between Pretoria and Hatfield. The train service’s technicians had managed‚ as predicted on Sunday‚ to effect some repair work on a damaged catenary line and restore power to one of the two tracks on the north-south line.A train shuttle would operate between Pretoria and Hatfield until the service on the second track resumed.Gautrain predicted a “two-minute increase in travel time between these stations”...
