Gauteng health MEC to be discharged soon

An afternoon of site visits to different facilities ended up with Gauteng’s health MEC being admitted to one of them. Qedani Mahlangu was‚ according to a statement from her office‚ “recuperating at Dr George Mukhari Academic Hospital and likely to be discharged in due course”.It said she had been admitted on Wednesday afternoon after calling on “facilities in Tshwane as a build-up process to the Gauteng government’s community outreach programme‚ Ntirhisano”.Mahlangu is said to have “complained about her health just before a public meeting” scheduled for 3pm to be addressed by the premier and the mayor of Tshwane.“She was rushed to the hospital and her treating doctors admitted her for observation and investigation to determine why she did not feel well‚” said Department of Health spokesperson Steve Mabona.“After observations‚ her treating doctors‚ are confident that‚ she will be discharged home in due course‚ we wish to thank our health professionals for sterling work.”..
