Standard Bank’s systems down on Sunday while changes made

Standard Bank’s systems are down on Sunday to enable the bank to make changes. The bank said that as a result customers would be unable to perform certain banking activities between 2am on Sunday morning until 8pm in the evening.It said customers would still be able to use their Standard Bank debit‚ cheque or credit cards to make in-store purchases and cash withdrawals at ATMs. They would also be able to use other services such as SnapScan and MasterPass.However‚ they would have limited access to bank account facilities such as beneficiary payments and interaccount transfers. ATM deposits‚ the banking app‚ internet and cellphone banking services would also be unavailable"While Standard Bank recognises the impact of service disruptions on customers‚ the downtime is necessary to make the system changes‚ and to ensure that customers’ personal information is safe and secure‚" the bank said...
