AfriForum steps in to assist Senekal community with water crisis

The civil rights organisation AfriForum has stepped in to help the community of Senekal in the Free State which has been without water since Friday.Stefan Coetzee‚ chairperson of the non-profit organisation Senekal Water‚ told AfriForum that about 40‚000 people were affected by this water crisis.He also said that it was the second time in three years that the town had experienced a crisis. In 2013 the town was without water for nine months.“AfriForum's branches in Kempton Park‚ Alberton‚ Nigel‚ Springs‚ Heidelberg‚ Vanderbijlpark‚ Primrose‚ Frankfort‚ Reitz‚ Harrismith‚ Bethlehem‚ Heilbron‚ Krugersdorp‚ Vereeniging‚ Sasolburg‚ Randfontein‚ Westonaria and Petrus Steyn are all working together on this project to ensure that the residents of Senekal get clean water‚” AfriForum said ...
