A motorist was shot and wounded during a robbery in Edenvale‚ Johannesburg‚ on Friday.
In the brazen attack‚ which was caught on camera‚ six suspects are seen opening fire in the middle of traffic on the R24 Edenvale off-ramp.
Police spokesman Lungelo Dlamini said the suspects targeted a car which allegedly carried cash.
"The motorist was shot when the suspects were robbing the another car of an undisclosed amount of money. The motorist was shot and injured during the crossfire. He was taken to a local hospital‚" Dlamini said.
The 1:01 video footage‚ which was posted on YouTube on Friday‚ shows the armed men with guns get out of a KIA SUV and start firing shots.
A number of gunshots are heard while cars continue to pass by and then a few seconds later‚ the gunmen stop and flee in their vehicle.
Dlamini said no arrests have been made and investigations are under way.
