US councilman in stable condition after being shot in Joburg bus hijacking

A US city councilman is in a stable condition after being shot in the face in Johannesburg during a robbery on Saturday‚ according to reports. A US media outlet WKRG reported that CJ Small from Mobile‚ Alabama‚ was shot when the tour bus he was in was hijacked.Cynthia Harvey the spokesperson for the US Embassy in Pretoria said on Monday that the embassy was aware of reports that a US citizen was involved in a hijacking.“The Consulate General in Johannesburg is providing all appropriate assistance to the victim and is closely monitoring the local authorities’ investigation into the case‚” Harvey said.WKRG reported that Small was in stable condition.Police were not immediately available for comment...
