Gynaecologist 'punched' in face by husband

A KwaZulu-Natal man has been charged with assault for allegedly punching his wife's gynaecologist in the face. Provincial police on Wednesday confirmed that the 33-year-old man had already appeared on an assault charge in the Empangeni Magistrate's Court on May 20.The man allegedly threw a punch during a misunderstanding between his wife and the popular Empangeni doctor.The doctor did not respond to a request for comment from TMG Digital.Police spokesman Major Thulani Zwane did not disclose the nature of the misunderstanding."The man was released on an unknown amount of bail.
