Durban parents have taken up the assistance of a lawyer in trying to rid their children's school of its principal. The Clayhaven Primary School principal was appointed last year but the school governing body was against the decision. She was removed by the Department of Education but soon returned work in August. The school governing body (SGB) has since hired an attorney to help resolve the matter. An eNCA report quoted Prathima Jayraj‚ the attorney acting for the governing body‚ as saying: “After the finding of the ministerial task team report that was published on 18 May 2016‚ the SGB once again called for her removal."“They wrote to the department bringing to the department's attention the findings and recommendations of the task team and asked that the department of education follow due process‚ remove the current occupant‚ and advertise the position after the finding.”..
