Joburg cops seek info on club fight that left two dead

Johannesburg police have called on the community to come forward with information that can lead to the arrest of people who brutally killed two men on Friday night in Malvern. In the early hours of Saturday morning‚ police were called after two bodies were found on the side of the road in Jules Street.The two young men‚ whose names have not yet been released‚ were stabbed to death. Their bodies lay about 15m from each other with numerous stab wounds.“Information is still sketchy for now. But it is believed that there was a quarrel in one of the clubs on Jules Street‚ and the men ended the fight on the streets‚” said Sergeant Bonginkosi Mdletshe.“We are calling for the community to come with information that can help us to get the people who did this senseless killing.”Community members marched on Saturday to the Cleveland police station demanding the closure of the club where the quarrel allegedly began. The march also proceeded to the club under the watchful eye of the police.“We have been complaining about that club for years. We want it closed. This is not the first time that we wake up and somebody has died on our streets‚” said one of the residents‚ who did not want to be named.A case of murder has been opened and no one has been arrested...
