Man plunges from scaffolding after electric shock
A young man was injured in Fourways north east of Johannesburg on Wednesday afternoon when he fell off scaffolding after receiving an electrical shock.ER24 said that when its paramedics and those from other private emergency medical services arrived on the scene‚ the man was complaining of back injuries and a burn wound from the electrical shock.“It appears as if he fell approximately four metres from the structure.“It is understood that he was working on the scaffolding when he sustained an electric shock and fell off the scaffolding onto bags of cement. He was treated on scene and later transported to hospital by another service‚” ER24 said.“A second patient‚ also believed to be on the scaffold at the time‚ was assessed and treated on the scene.
