State to run fingerprints to confirm identity of new Jayde murder suspect

The latest person to be arrested in connection with Jayde Panayiotou’s murder made a brief appearance in the Port Elizabeth Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday morning. Zolani Sibeko‚ 35‚ said he would appoint private attorney Louis van Rensburg to represent him.State advocate Marius Stander said Sibeko was insisting his surname was Roxo‚ and the state would now have to run his fingerprints.The case against him was postponed to Friday for Van Rensburg to be formally appointed. Sick magistrate leads to another postponement for PanayiotouThe bail application of murder-accused Christopher Panayiotou has been postponed in Port Elizabeth Magistrate's court again on Friday.Panayiotou was kidnapped and murdered on April 21 last year‚ allegedly at the behest of her husband‚ Christopher.He stands accused alongside alleged hit men Sizwezakhe Vumazonke and Sinethemba Nemembe.Christopher Panayiotou is accused of paying a former employee‚ Luthando Siyoni‚ to hire Vumazonke and Nemembe to kidnap and murder Jayde.
