Early payday for social grant recipients
Payday will come early for social grant recipients‚ thanks to the local government elections. The South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) on Thursday announced that social grant payments for August will be brought forward and will commence from July 27.According to a statement released by Sassa spokeswoman Shivani Wahab‚ the payment at pay points will run from 27 to 29 July 2016."There will be no payment at pay points from 1 to 3 August 2016 due to local government elections. Payment at pay points will resume on the 4 August 2016 until the last payment date‚" she said.Wahab added that the money would be available without interruption from July 27 until August 25 for those beneficiaries using other payment channels such as ATM's and stores."Please direct any enquiries to 0800 60 10 11 or 012 400 2322‚" she said...
