BREAKING NEWS: KZN chief shot dead‚ daughter wounded in attack

A chief has been shot dead and his daughter wounded in an attack near the library in Sundumbili in KwaZulu-Natal‚ according to paramedics.

IPSS Medical Rescue said it had arrived on the scene to find Chief Matonzi had succumbed to his critical injuries.

“His daughter was also wounded and transported to hospital by IPSS‚” it said.

It said it was believed that a vehicle drove alongside the chief’s vehicle and opened fire‚ fatally wounding him

“Police are currently still on scene.”
