Missing eight-month-old baby found

A baby that was allegedly kidnapped in Kraaifontein in the Western Cape earlier this week has been found unharmed and reunited with his family‚ police said on Thursday evening.

“Eight month old Lucas Cedras has been found this afternoon.

He was taken to a doctor for a medical check-up‚ he is unharmed and reunited with his family.

No arrest has been made‚” said Western Cape police spokesman Captain FC van Wyk said‚ adding that the investigation into his alleged abduction was continuing.

The baby was last seen on Tuesday morning when his grandmother allowed a woman known to the family to take the child to someone down the road.

The woman never returned.
