While the search for a missing Paarl secretary continues‚ the case against her boyfriend‚ arrested in Port Elizabeth at the weekend‚ has been transferred back to the Western Cape.

Pienaar‚ 28‚ was reported missing by her psychologist mother‚ Marlaine Pienaar-Vice‚ on January 8 after she was last seen driving off in the gold-coloured Peugeot.

Oosthuizen later told police that he and Pienaar‚ who he had been dating for the past year‚ had had a fight and he dropped her off in Oudtshoorn.

He appeared briefly in the Port Elizabeth Magistrate’s Court on Friday morning‚ where it was said he must now appear in the Paarl Magistrate’s Court on February 2.

He remains in custody.
